Sleepovers used to be a problem but how he sleeps in the Thomas tent and all is well. It unfolds and pops up instantly. In my house it is the Thomas tent.
The reviews are correct about folding it up into the bag -- it doesn't. I have had no durability problems and I have even set it up on the lawn for neighbor children. It stores flat in the closet however and is always available for a gramma date.
Kids should have special toys and special places at gramma's house. The smoke stack is a little problematic but no big deal. I love this product.
My grandson will be five this month and I have had the tent for about two years. We have a play mat for sleeping and he adds pillow, his favorite blanket and a couple of stuffed animal "friends".
Besides this I think its great. I purchased this train tent for my nephew for Christmas and he loves it. It is a great size, could probably fit 2-3 small kids inside and above all, my nephew didn't want to get out of it. I was a little worried because of some reports of durability issues but it seems to be fairly well made and I think it will last as long as your child is not jumping on top of it. It is super easy to unpack and put up however it is not super easy to fold back together. It is supposed to fit in this small bag which I am sure it does if you know how to fold it properly.
It barely shows any signs of use. Bought this as a gift for my son when he turned 3. I would recommend this to anyone interested. He has enjoyed it and I am well pleased with it as a parent also. He has used it over and over again. It has held up really well for the torture he and his friends put it through.
Cute and fun. Open mesh areas on the top allows for easy viewing without intruding. We have had this for 2 years now and it is still in once piece, so definitley durable. It is light weight and folds flat so storage is great.
It just pops right open. He even sat inside the tent and watched a DVD on TV through the back window rather than leave the tent to get a better view. For the parents - the tent assembles in seconds. My nephew loves Thomas the train. I believe it also came with a storage bag, but I'm not sure how difficult it was to get back into the bag since it was still set up and being played with when I left. We bought this for him for his third birthday and he absolutely loved it. He collects the trains, watches the DVDs and can name all the trains. He spent the rest of the party playing in the tent and getting his mom and I to join him (which is no easy task).
